Children's Ministries

Children are very special at Brighton Park.  It is our privilege to work with parents to not only help teach these precious lambs the Word of God, but also to care for them as their parents worship and grow in the Lord too.  We have on-going children’s activities and special programs throughout the year.

“You shall therefore impress these words of Mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.  You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.”

Royal Ambassadors reaches boys for Christ and leads them to become Ambassadors for Christ through commitments (developing biblical character) and virtues (living the on-mission lifestyle of the Royal Ambassador Pledge). RAs is a Bible-centered, church-related, mission education organization for boys in first through sixth grades, sponsored by the North American Mission Board, an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention.

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ's behalf, 'Be reconciled to God.'"
2 Corinthians 5:20 (HCSB)

Girls Grades 1st – 6th

Each month, girls focus on learning and understanding a Scripture verse related to the month's topic of study. Also, each month there is a memory verse in WorldVentures.  GAs is a Bible-centered, church-related, mission education organization for girls in first through sixth grades, sponsored by the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU).  The WMU works with the North American Mission Board, an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention.

“Give thanks to the Lord. Worship him. Tell the nations what he has done. Announce how honored he is."
(Isaiah 12:4 NIV)

The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must treat people fairly. You must love others faithfully. And you must be very careful to live the way your God wants you to."
(Micah 6:8 NIV)

Mission Friends

Every Wednesday
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Preschoolers Ages 4-5 Years Old

Mission Friends welcomes all children in preschool and kindergarten.  We provide a place where children are involved in learning, praying, giving and doing missions.

The goal is for Mission Friends to:

  • Develop missions attitudes and concepts
  • Become aware of God's love for all people
  • Realize that others need to hear about Jesus
  • Learn of missions work in North America and throughout the world.
  • Learn the joy of praying and giving to missions.

Each month, preschoolers are taught about a missionary in a different place.  Mission Friends learn about missions through hands-on activities, sensory activities, Bible thoughts, cultural learning activities, mission stories, prayer, giving and helping others.

"Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."
